A BUNNY THAT BRINGS EGGS? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Hello Spring! Temperatures are in the double digits (+14C), the snow is GONE, Spring has arrived. We were out doing some errands yesterday and Miss Abby decided that she needed to stick her head out the window and drive around town. Unlike last Spring, she can stick her head all the way out of the sun roof and see where she is going and she LOVES it. We went to the dog park and there were lots of doggies there yesterday and one very large bull mastiff who took a liking to Abby! Just when we think that Abby is a rather large dog at her almost 70 lbs, we take her to the dog park and realize she is not so big in comparison. Yesterday while we were at the park we noticed an older couple who had parked their car and came up to the fence to watch the dogs play. After some time, we got a hold of Abby and took her over to the fence to where they were standing and introduced her to the elderly couple. They said they had recently moved into an apartment but that they always had dogs in their life. Abby could not have behaved any better while she let the couple talk to her, while we talked to them Abby hung around and they commented on her curly tail and said that they had a dog with a similar tail one time. They thanks us for bringing Abby over for visit, I think they really enjoyed it.
We also went shopping at the Pet Smart and Abby picked out a new toy....a little froggie with a squeaker. She loves walking around with something in her mouth and then just gives a squeak every now and again.
We supported the SPCA fundraiser "Pets Photos with the Easter Bunny" being held at Green Village. Abby sat with the Easter Bunny and let the Photographer take her picture. That "glass" eye of Abby's is the topic of conversation almost everywhere we go and everyone always says "oh, there is the little Huskie eye"!! We will get those Easter pictures back in the next week. We also took some pictures with our camera as you can see. A very fun and busy weekend.
We are leaving this Thursday for 15 days in Arizona! We have a friend coming to stay at the house with the 3 kitties and Miss Biz so that will work out well. Abby has a nice large fenced in yard where one can just open the patio door and let her run so we are more comfortable with her staying here. She is a little runner so once she discovers that she is "free".... she could be three blocks away in no time. We will miss her but know that she is in very good hands. Until next time......
