GRADUATION DAY!

Four pounds of training treats, eight hours of classes, 24 hours of homework, Graduation from Level I Obedience.......Priceless!

Tonight was week 8 and the final night of Level I obedience class. Abby was very good in class and has loved all the interaction with the other dogs over the past few weeks. We are going to buy her a graduation present of hostas and ferns to replace the ones that she has dug up from the flower beds in the past 24 hours. A lovely sight indeed to see Abby standing in the middle of the lawn with a large fern hanging out one side of her mouth and the big root ball hanging from the other side of her mouth! We have tried to "save" some of the plants if we can get them away from her but she apparently likes to play catch me if you can from time to time. It is a very good thing she is so cute is all we keep saying!

Abby continues to grow but still thinks that she is small enough to jump up into her favourite chair and share the space with who ever is sitting there. She jumps up, tries to turn around and then just falls on your lap like a limp blob. She stays for as long as she wants and then hops down and off she goes on another adventure.....mostly hunting cats.

Abby now has free run of the complete downstairs during the day and has adjusted to all the freedom just fine,we think that she sleeps for most of the time because nothing is ever out of place. However, we have discovered that she is not much of a watchdog as when we arrive home, she does not come to the door to see who is there but rather we have to go and find her! Its like "come on in, make yourself at home"!

All the neighbors have commented on what a nice doggie she is, very friendly and really does not bark....although they all have noticed that she likes to get into the garden.

We continue to love that little fur body, soft floppy eared doggie. Until next time...
