DIGGING DIGGING DIGGING.....I THINK I SEE CHINA!

Digger has kept busy the past couple of weeks doing what she likes best! As you can see she LOVES digging large holes in the snow which is all very fun and innocent during the Winter months but... we do admit we are a little worried about what will happen when Spring arrives! We were hoping that the constant digging the flower garden last summer was just "puppy" play....maybe not so much. Abby keeps her nose to the ground while on walks so the head down digging trait seems to be natural to her.

We got the test results of the growth that was removed from Abby's leg. It was benign cutaneous histiocytoma with ulcerations, a "young dog" condition of a small, fast growing tumor. Often will go away on its own but can return in the same location. However, with surgical removal normally there is a 99% chance of it not growing back. We hope this was a "one of" occurrence! The Vet remove the stitches and you can barely see the incision, the shaved area is growing back and you would never know anything happened.

We had a new Pet Smart open in Fredericton so Abby went shopping on the weekend at the new pet friendly store. She pulled out her Visa and did some shopping. The Oromocto SPCA has a shortage of canned dog food so Abby purchased 2 cases of Science Diet Dog food and delivered it to the Shelter. She also went to the city dog park to play after taking a long break from the park. It has been very icy and doggies were getting injured so we figured Abby didn't need any of that action. She was sort of attacked or pinned down by one large puppy and of course she is very submissive so the other dog just pinned her and stepped all over her but we raced over to rescue her and the other owner came right over too and said "I am sorry, did he hurt your dog?" we said "no she is okay" but we decided to leave....some days are like that at the park which is why you have to keep a close eye on your dog at all times.

Abby is having Daisy, a canine friend, come to visit with her for a week. Daisy's parents are going to the Olympic games in Vancouver and we offered to keep her so Abby will have a friend to play with.....you are asking .......hum......is Abby getting a brother or sister anytime soon...NO! One of us would have a brother or sister for Abby in a heart beat but one of us thinks that Abby is just the right number of doggies for this house. How would the Princess of the house feel about sharing all the attention with another doggie? Nuf said... Until next time...
