CHRISTMAS PRESENTS FOR ME?

Abby's first Christmas in Fredericton was magical! She had her very own Christmas stocking which Santa Paws found without a problem. She must have been a good girl because Santa left some nice treats and toys for our good little girl doggie. Abby even received a nice Christmas present from her Foster Mother in Arkansas. We taught her to help open presents by just a "little nibble" to catch the corner of the wrapping paper and then just a bit of pulling and voila...the present is open. She played with Bobby doggie all morning, Nana's 12 year old cairn terrier, they had a great time running through wrapping paper and boxes. Abby played with her new Christmas Moose all day, squeek squeek squeek.....She loves to bring you a toy in hopes of a "catch me if you can" game. We admit, we raced around the dining room table today playing her game...Abby goes so fast that she sometimes ends up catching up and passing you! She loves that game and will play as long as someone will chase her! Abby enjoyed a piece or two of turkey and a small taste of pie! It was a great 1st Christmas Day with little Abby!

We reminisced about Christmas Day last year and how we had the computer on most of the day with little Abby's poster from Paws and Claws New England up and every time we walked by, there she was..silently talking to us. http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=12559054 It was Boxing Day that we received an email following up to our initial inquiry about Abby, our designer box-a-houla (Terri she was named at the time). We corresponded with her foster mother and it was later that evening that we found out that our adoption application was approved! Abby was ours and little did we know what a blessing she would be. We then began our inquiries about when she could come to Fredericton because after she picked us, we just wanted her here!! What lead us to Pet Finders in search of a new dog? Why this dog? What kept bringing us back to Abby's posting? Who knows?......but it was meant to be. Until next time...
