Our winter vacation is over and Abby made out great at her temporary home at Aunties June and Carolin's for two weeks while we were in sunny Sarasota. She was the Queen of the palace being allowed to rest in the large bay window and watch birds, and she was walked daily......apparently she even has a standard poodle boyfriend named Cyrus that she met on her new walking route! When we arrived to pick her up, she was glad to see us but not really in a hurry to leave her comfy surroundings. We are not quite sure how we are going to keep up the wonderful spa like environment that she has become accustomed to! Abby learned to "shake a paw" while we we away, but best of all she learned how to sleep in past 6:30! Most of the snow disappeared during the 15 days we were away but Abby continues to think she needs to find a piece of snow to do her business.
We are starting doggie obedience classes this Thursday and are looking forward to that experience with her. Abby has been well socialized with other dogs at the dog park so we know she will love another opportunity to be with new canine friends.
We had Easter pictues taken at Petcetera before we left on vacation (above) and just picked them up today. We bought "Easter bunny ears" for Abby but she wants nothing to do with an Easter headband...... that stuff is for girlie girls! LOL
Abby continues to love going in the car and being part of all the running around. Last night she went to Nannie's house for dinner and all the guests commented on what a nice little doggie she was. She stayed quietly on her bed with a bone that kept her occupied during dinner. Today we went back to the dog park after a 2 week leave and she reconnected with some old play friends, but unfortunately Duke was not there. Being spring, Abby needed a bath after the doggie park visit, so she had her first experience in the bath tub! That was lots of fun!! Until next time.
Welcome back. We are certain you are happy to see your baby. We are glad that everything went well with Abby while you were away and we hope you both had a wonderful vacation.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
