Our Abby Doggie turns 5 years old today! Where did the past 5 years go? Although an average dog by every definition, she continues to be our special little ball of furry cuteness. Although the actual events of her birth are unknown, we know she was not a puppy born to a planned litter of pedigree show dogs. She and her little mates were rescued from a shelter on November 15, 2008 and it was estimated they were about 6-7 weeks old at the time so based on that information, October 1, 2008 was her estimated birthday. Despite her beginnings, she is the perfect dog in every way and considered Royalty in our house!Abby enjoyed a great Winter, Spring and Summer and did all the usual things she likes to do. She is almost always in the car when it leaves the yard and she is still eager to go for her morning walk every morning at 6:00am. She is greeted each morning, as she has every day over the past 5 years, by "good morning little girl". She knows this is the magic phrase that starts her day.
We are not sure what her birthday has in store but I am guessing it might involve an extra walk to the park and an extra long belly rub before bed. Happy Birthday Abby, we love you little doggie. Until next time...
