We also bought her a bone that we only give to her under supervision, in case she bites off a piece that is too big for her. Last night she had a few hours of entertainment with it and tonight, she is busy trying to find a good spot to bury it. She is hilarious!! She dug a nice hiding spot in the middle of her new Drop'n Flop bed, then she placed the bone in the hole and scooped the bed around the bone with her nose!! She wasn't really happy with that attempt so she then tried to bury the bone in the corner of the sofa and that was not satisfactory either, so she tried the Drop'n Flop cat bed and voila...success!! A nicely buried dog bone, hidden under the cat bed (safe for certain because the cats have not used the bed since BA (before Abby)). What gives a little dog the instinct to bury a bone?
Abby is doing well with the house training and has started to go to the door to let us know when she needs out. She doesn't bark so if you are not right in the room, you miss her subtle signal! She is very smart so we figure that it is only a matter of time before she is letting herself out!
Until next time...
